Overview

Rise of Kingdoms is a real-time strategy game from the Chinese developer Lilith Games, released for iOS and Android in 2018 and later for Windows and macOS. Players pick one of many historical civilizations, each with its own bonuses and starting commander, and build a city from a small settlement.

Day to day, you gather resources on the shared map, research technologies, train troops and level commanders drawn from history. Armies move across an open, seamless map in real time, and battles are fought by marching into enemy units or cities rather than in a separate screen.

Alliances are central: members build fortresses, claim territory, rally against barbarian forts and fight other alliances, including in large seasonal events that pit whole kingdoms against each other. The game is free to play, with paid packs and gems that speed up building, research and commander growth.
