Overview

Lioden is a browser simulation in which each player is a male lion leading a pride. It is made by Lioden Ltd, a small UK company, and has run since the early 2010s.

Day to day, players send lionesses out to hunt, explore and patrol, keep the pride fed and healthy, and breed cubs whose base coats, markings and mutations follow the parents. Exploring turns up items, decorations and rare finds, and battles against roaming lions and other threats decide who keeps the territory. Lions can be decorated and posed in custom dens, and many players treat their pride as an ongoing story.

The community is a big part of the site, with forums, trading and a market for lions and items, as well as regular seasonal events. The game is free to play; an optional premium membership and premium currency offer extra slots, cosmetics and conveniences.
