A browser game about running a clan of dragons: breed for colors and genes, dress them up, gather items, and battle monsters in the Coliseum.
Flight Rising is a browser game set in a world split among elemental deities, where each player picks one of the elemental flights and builds a clan of dragons. It opened publicly in June 2013 after a closed beta and a Kickstarter campaign, and is run by Stormlight Workshop.
Most of the daily routine involves gathering items such as food and materials, feeding the clan, and breeding pairs that each produce a clutch of eggs. Colors and gene patterns pass only from the two parents, so careful breeding projects are a large part of the game, as is styling dragons with apparel and skins. The Coliseum offers turn-based fights against monsters with small parties, and flights compete over a recurring dominance contest that grants bonuses to the winning element.
Trading and the auction house drive a busy player economy with two currencies: treasure earned in play and gems that can also be bought with real money. The game is free to play, with premium items and cosmetics sold for gems.
