Dungeons & Dragons Online

An instanced dungeon-crawling MMORPG built on Dungeons & Dragons rules, with action combat, deep multiclass builds and a reincarnation system.

Overview

Dungeons & Dragons Online is set mainly in Eberron, with later content in the Forgotten Realms and Ravenloft. Public towns serve as hubs, and most adventuring happens in instanced quests for a party, each with a narrator voice, traps, puzzles and optional objectives in the style of a tabletop session.

Characters are built from D&D races, classes and feats, and multiclassing allows a wide range of builds. Combat is real-time, with blocking, tumbling and manual aiming. Reincarnation lets players reset a character to level one with permanent bonuses, which is the core of long-term progression. Raids, difficulty settings and wilderness areas add variety.

The game is free to start, with adventure packs, classes and races sold in the store or included with a VIP subscription. Guilds and an auction house support the social side, and there is limited PvP in taverns.
