Kings of Chaos
- Strategy
- Text-based
A text-based kingdom strategy game from 1998 where teams of provinces fight multi-week 'ages' with armies, thieves and magic.
Utopia is one of the oldest browser strategy games still running. Each player controls a province inside a kingdom of other players and chooses a race and personality that shape its strengths. Provinces grow land, build, research sciences and train armies, thieves and wizards.
Play is organized into ages lasting several weeks. Kingdoms declare wars on each other, and success depends on teamwork: attackers, thieves and mages each fill a role, and coordinated hits matter more than any single strong province. The game updates on an hourly tick, so it can be played with a few check-ins a day.
Utopia is free to play in the browser, with no download, and an Android app was in open beta at the time of writing. It is now run by MUGA Gaming.
