Overview

Kings of Chaos is a text-based strategy game in which each player rules a kingdom of one of several races. The core loop is short: train soldiers into attackers, defenders, spies and sentries, buy weapons, and spend turns attacking other players to take gold.

Army size, weapons and upgrades determine strength, and recruiting from a personal link helps grow your population. Alliances band players together for mutual protection and rankings, and the game tracks the most active, healthy and criminal alliances. Each game period is called an age, and ages reset the field so players start over.

The game began as a student project and has been run by Kings of Chaos, LLC since 2003. It plays in the browser with no download.
