Overview

Sindome is a cyberpunk text game set in Withmore City, a dome built in the wastes of a future California. Inspired by works such as Neuromancer and Judge Dredd, it focuses on street-level stories of mercenaries, corporate employees, criminals and drifters.

Roleplay is required, so players are expected to give their characters motives, histories and secrets. Play happens in real time alongside other people, and the focus is on scenes, schemes and relationships rather than grinding: characters look for work, build reputations, make allies and enemies, and live with the results of their choices. The website shows who is online and hosts boards, lore and a newsfeed.

Sindome has run since 1997 and is free to play. Players can use the official browser client or connect a MOO-compatible client to moo.sindome.org on port 5555.
