Overview

Wurm Online is a sandbox MMO originally created by Rolf Jansson and Markus Persson and run today by Code Club AB. It is set in a medieval fantasy world that players can reshape tile by tile: digging, flattening and raising terrain, clearing forests, paving roads and building canals.

There are no levels or classes. Characters improve over a hundred skills by using them, from mining and smithing to farming, carpentry, animal husbandry and religion. Most items are crafted by players, and their quality depends on skill and materials. Players found deeds, which are owned settlements, and grow them into villages with neighbors.

Some servers allow PvP and kingdom warfare, while others are PvE. The game is free to play with limits on skills, and a premium subscription removes them.
