Overview
Pirate101 is set in the Spiral, the same universe as Wizard101, but follows a young pirate sailing the skyways between floating islands. Its story is lighthearted and aimed at all ages, with talking animals, rival navies and a long main quest.
Battles are turn-based and play out on a grid, where the player commands their pirate and a party of companions recruited along the way. Companions level up, gain new abilities and can be promoted, so building a crew is the core of progression. Ship battles happen in the open skies, and players can upgrade and customize their vessel.
The game is free to start, with areas unlocked through crowns or a membership. Players get their own home to decorate. PvP and group content let friends play together, and chat is filtered for younger audiences.
