Overview

AdventureQuest Worlds is a 2D side-view fantasy MMORPG from Artix Entertainment, launched in 2008 as a browser game. It is now played through the Artix Game Launcher on desktop, and the studio is separately developing a successor, AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity.

The game has a light, comic tone and a running storyline that has received new content almost every week for years, often tied to holidays and seasonal events. Combat is simple and skill-based: you click a target and use a handful of class abilities. Characters can learn many classes and switch between them freely, and much of the long-term play revolves around farming rare drops, reputation ranks and collecting cosmetic gear for your look.

Players group up to clear dungeons and bosses and can own customizable houses. The game is free to play; a paid membership and AdventureCoins unlock extra areas, classes and items.
