Overview

Lyrania is a fantasy role-playing game that runs in the browser with no download. It is mostly text and menus, and the current version is labeled Lyrania 4.0. The site shows a few hundred players online at a time and describes a long-standing community.

You pick monsters from a list and fight them one at a time or set the game to auto-attack through a run of battles. Gold buys equipment upgrades, orbs raise gear quality, and jade is spent at the Jade Temple on permanent skills. Area bosses appear every two hours, and players sign contracts to fight them for money, gems and dungeon points. There are also tradeskills, crafting, jewelry slots and a casino.

Guilds are central, and a player market lets people set their own prices. The game is free to play. Tokens and other extras can be bought with real money, and tokens can also be traded between players.
