Overview

Albion Online takes place in a medieval fantasy realm loosely inspired by Arthurian legend, viewed from a top-down isometric camera. There are no fixed classes: what you wear and wield decides your abilities, so a character can switch roles by swapping weapons and armor.

Day to day, players gather resources, refine and craft equipment, trade on regional markets, run dungeons and fight in zones with varying PvP rules. The economy is almost entirely player-driven, and full-loot areas mean gear is a consumable that keeps crafters busy. Guilds compete for territory and castles in large-scale battles.

The game is free to play, with an optional Premium status bought with gold or real money that boosts gathering, crafting and fame gains. One account works across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android and, since April 2026, Xbox Series X|S, with full cross-play.
