Wakfu

Ankama's turn-based tactical MMORPG set after Dofus, with player-run nations, elections and an ecology system.

Overview

Wakfu is a tactical MMORPG set in the same world as Dofus, centuries later. Combat is turn-based on a grid, with a wide range of classes that suit different roles and build styles.

Beyond fighting, Wakfu leans on player systems. Players gather and craft, and many resources must be replanted to avoid exhausting an area. Nations hold elections for governors who set laws and taxes, and players can align with a nation and take part in its politics and PvP.

The game runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and is free to play on Steam, with optional purchases in Ankama's shop. Ankama continues to release numbered content updates. The game originally launched in 2012, and it is available both through Ankama's launcher and on Steam.
