Overview

Mabinogi is a fantasy MMORPG inspired by Celtic and Irish mythology. Instead of choosing a class, players raise individual skills, so one character can fight, cook, tailor, fish, compose music and run a shop. Characters also age over time and can be reborn to reset their level while keeping trained abilities.

Adventures run through a main story told in Generations and Sagas, combined with dungeons entered by dropping an item on an altar. Much of the social life happens in towns, where players gather, perform music together, sell goods from personal shops and decorate homestead plots.

The game is free to play, with premium services and cosmetic items sold through Nexon. Nexon released the game in Korea in 2004 and in North America in 2008, and it continues to receive regular maintenance and updates.
