Overview
Cabal Online is a fantasy MMORPG set in Nevareth, a world rebuilding after a magical disaster. Players choose from several classes that mix swords and magic, and its signature feature is the combo system, which rewards timing skills in sequence for extra damage, plus Battle Modes that temporarily transform a character's attacks.
Play centers on leveling in fields, time-limited dungeons and mission battles where nations fight each other. Recent updates have added solo raid content, puzzle-style ability boards and reworked PvP arenas.
The North American and European versions are run by ESTsoft through its PlayThisGame portal. The game is free to play with an item shop. The game first launched in Korea in 2005 and in North America in 2008, and its Steam listing was retired in 2020.
